Business Week

 Business Week

Business Week is a statewide program offering the opportunity for high school students to experience the operation of a simulated business. As a one-week camp for budding entrepreneurs, students learn about teamwork, planning, product creativity, and marketing. The week culminates with a trade show where the teams of students present their companies and products to an audience of invited business guests who act as investors. The activity sharpens communication skills and helps shape career choices. Business Week takes place at three universities: Western Washington University , Central Washington University and Gonzaga University. Through the solicitation of sponsors, the Foundation has created scholarships totalling $3,000 to help send 12 Valley students to Business Week. Leading contributors to this effort have been Office Depot and Sterling Savings.
